It seems to be well built. Clothes still get wrinkled. Another review said that it would hold one jacket and 5 days of clothes. I don't see how unless you wash in the middle. It is not a substitute for a regular suitcase but for a quick two day trip when you do not want to check luggage it is great.
Altlhough the bag seems sturdy & the advertisesd garment section is handy for a carry-on bag, the main zipper is VERY hard to use. It gets stuck easily at the corners.
I travel Monday through Friday every week and this is the only garment bag I take with me. I can pack 5 days worth of clothing including running shoes without a problem. I pack a sport coat or suit, 5 dress shirts and 2 pairs of dress slacks with room to spare. It fits easily in overhead storage and is tough as nails.
This bag was a big disappointment from an otherwise longstanding LLBean supporter. I had the prior version for about 10 years, used it heavily, loved it and thought I was getting a replacement. This version has solved the only defect of the prior one (it tended to fall over when full), but at the expense of becoming minimally useful because (1) the zipper is COMPLETELY unworkable. I struggled for multiple minutes to open and close it each time, despite having soaped the edges as recommended in one of the prior review. (2) there is no front expandable section, so the carrying capacity is significantly reduced. It's no better than a hard shell case. The removable "sleeve" takes up more room than it is worth and the design of the hanger hook is very difficult to use when there are clothes on the hanger. I am sending it back. What a big disappointment!
