The quality of the fold-in handle is very weak!. When placing a small amount of pressure on the top of the the handle, (with out pressing the "folding button") the handle would coallasp & fold back down into its storage postion. This is very anoying. If this issue could be resovled - the bag would be very useful
Love the idea of this bag. A lot fits into it and the suit comes out of it unwrinkled. Holds a lot more than I expected. However, I wish I had bought it a week earlier. One of the main zippers doesn't work, but I had to leave the country before L L Bean could have sent me a replacement. Order yours in plenty of time, just in case.
It seems, at over $230, rather expensive. It would be nice if they could get it down to $200.
Finally, I wish they made it in red --- too many other blue, black, and green bags out there.
It's a perfect size and configuration for a weekend trip or business conference. I used it last weekend, and for the first time ever, I did not need a separate toiletry bag. It's also the easiest rolling bag I've ever used. I did not need the garmet bag for that trip, but I know it will come handy on future occasions when I travel for business.
My LLBean rolling garment bag has developed some wheel problems (worn out bearings most likely). So maybe it is time for me to write a review. I bought this bag more than 5 years ago and, as a frequent business traveler, this bag has traveled somewhere around 3/4 of a million miles with me. So after being pulled along Manhattan streets countless times, dragged across cobblestones in Europe, tossed onto Shinkansen racks in Japan, dragged through the snow in Germany, and even checked quite a few times (stupid airline rules), ... it has had the audacity to develop a wheel bearing problem so it doesn't roll so well. Nevertheless, I just took it to Europe last week and am about to take it to Asia next week. And it has been packed to survive more than a week in Europe - in the winter, even longer in Asia in the summer.
And I still don't want to give it up. Maybe it needs to be replaced or repaired. But then again maybe it can make a million miles....
I haven't had the same success with all other LLBean luggage, but clearly this bag has done its job admirably.
