I found this blanket to be everything I wanted/needed. Very cosy and warm. Also the dimensions are perfect. My only disapointment was that the color was off from the picture. My bedroom is in purple and seafoam green exactly the colors shown. However, the green is actually in reality grey. There is no way you could describe it as green. Just a titch of disapointment on that point otherwise perfect
We love this blanket, it is soft, warm, and colorful. We've had ours for several years and it still looks great, perhaps because we have always dry cleaned it. Since it is typical LL Bean quality I look forward to it looking great for years to come too. The edge is sewn; the wool is soft instead of scratchy; and the blanket is suprisingly heavy.
I live in interior Alaska where the weather gets to 50 below zero at times during the winter. We keep our thermostat set low due to high fuel costs, and I had been looking for a blanket to keep us warm at night. I had purchased a Qualofil blanket from Bean before, and still use that, but it wasn't enough. I ordered this blanket and a down comforter (which was on back order). After using this for only a week, I canceled the down comforter as we didn't need it...this is the warmest blanket ever! Lightweight, washable, and durable...in my 50 years I have not seen better. No odor, either, and a queen was plenty big for our over-sized mattress. Thank you, LLBean!
Okay, so this is my second LL Bean washable wool blanket in twenty years! The first one is still in excellent shape, but I wanted something in lighter colors and to freshen things up. Same excellent quality, same beautiful feel, and toasty warm! I highly recommend this blanket as year round bedding: layered in fall and winter, and by itself in spring and summer.
