I pulled this blanket out of my closet when we were without power for over 12 days in October/November, 2011. The temperature in the house went down to 50 degrees at night but this blanket kept me extremely warm even though I am always so cold. Thanks LLBean for keeping me safe & warm!
Very warm, excellent quality, beautiful blanket. Great investment--I will buy more. Did not notice the smell other reviews mentioned, nor did I think it was short (as another reviewer mentioned).
I love my older washable wool blanket. I ordered a new queen, as a second little luxury. The old blanket tucks in nicely, washes well, is warm. The new one was a full 10" shorter than my old one. Since tucking it in is important to me, I sent it back. With a special promotion I was able to order a king size for the reg. price of a queen. I use it sideways. The smell others have mentioned is definitely there, but does go away.
