This is a really nice wool blanket. The blanket along with flannel sheets has been an ideal combination so far this fall. The foggy blue is a very nice, cheerful, peaceful plaid. I've washed it twice now and it seems to get softer with each washing. I'm planning to get another one for our guest bedroom.
This blanket is great at not only keeping me warm but keeping the temperature constant. It doesn't feel too warm. It is lighter than a down comforter which is what I had before to keep warm. I bought the sage color and it is very neutral.
I'm very pleased with my purchase of this wool blanket. The colors are beautiful and it looks great on my bed, I would consider getting another one in a different color. The size is large which is nice as it hangs far over the side of the bed. I'm glad that the blanket is washable as well, will make it easy to take care of. So far it keeps me extremely toasty at night. The only complaint I have is that the blanket is a bit scratchy so I can't put my arms over it at night, I just make sure my sheet is pulled up high enough over it.
Washed up nicely with very little shedding. I did not notice a smell to this blanket, that is not typical for wool. Wool is a natural fiber and it does have an oder to it, espically when wet. But the smell is not noticeable even right out of the package. I do wish the edges where finished nicer. But, for the price and the fact that it is washable wool I still think this is an excellent, 5 star, level blanket. I got the sage plaid and the colors are great! Looks very nice with chocolate, tan, cream, or sage green color sheets.
