To quote a previous reviewer, this is a "honey of a blanket"!! This is my favorite blanket ever! It gets softer with washing, too. There is a faint "wool" smell when you first taken it damp out of the washer, this smell goes away when you tumble it dry on cool. There is no smell at all except that of a dryer sheet when you take it out of the dryer. I have two of these blankets on my bed, and I use a third for snuggling up with. I get one new blanket every year the last couple of years and absolutely LOVE them. Great Christmas gift, too, if you have someone you really really like, on your Christmas list.
I purchased this blanket last year. It is the best blanket I own. It is not only beautiful, but it is a very soft wool that is as cozy as can be. I not only use this blanket on my bed, but I snuggle up in it in my chair when reading or watching TV. I will be ordering another one of these this year.... Love the colors too - I have the red...
This blanket is pretty, warm and didn't shrink in the washer. I did notice an odor when I opened it, so I washed it right away. Quite a bit of pilling, but would still recommend it. Would like to see some muted colors.
I bought this blanket five years ago and absolutely adore it! It is incredibly warm and soft. I have never noticed any odd odor and am very sensitive to smells. The blanket has held up beautifully. I am now ordering one for my daughter whose room is the coldest in the house. I do not use the blanket in the summer as it just proves to be too warm. I get very excited each fall when the temperature drops enough for me to use this. I wake up warm, cozy, and comfortable whenever I use this blanket.
