bought this blanket to take with me on the road. it is just the right travel piece and appears to be really study. got the mineral blue and the colors are really beautiful - muted rust, blue and blue greens. the red blanket stitching around the outside is a great finish for it.
i just received my washable wool blanket today. i'm so happy with it!! i was rather sceptical when i ordered this blanket. you always hope the colour will be what you want and i got lucky!!!! i ordered the sage plaid for my son's room and it's perfect. the blanket is substantial in weight and beautifully stitched. i'm not too worried about the smell that the other reviewers wrote about, it's wool!!! of course it will smell like a wet dog when it's wet, but it will go away when dry. beautiful blanket.....
washes well, colors are wonderful,BUT it does have an odor not unlike a wet dog smell, albeit clean. I'm hoping the odor will disappear. It is a good use blanket in AK, for cold and dank, I think. My broken coated jrt has hair similar to the blanket and her hair is extremely resilient in the cold and wet. Wooly, dries quickly, great colors and warms. wish my jrt had the beautiful colors, Would want another one, blanket and jrt both!
