This blanket was gorgeous and warm, and everything I dreamed of in a quality wool blanket when I first received it. Upon washing as per instructions (cold, delicate, etc.) the white squares are now bigger than the rest of this blanket and it puckers everywhere because of this. If this didn't happen it would be amazing. So disappointed as this product is definitely not as promised after cleaning. :(

My husband and I got a wool/acrylic blend blanket for our wedding in 1999 from Beans. It finally started wearing out 2 or 3 years ago and I went looking for a replacement wool blanket. I couldn't find the same type and didn't know what I wanted. Last summer I got to see one of these blankets at my in-laws and decided it looked better than anything else I had seen so I bought one.
I love it! I put it on in the fall without a comforter and it looked great as a bedspread. The weight is perfect for the winter but not too heavy for the fall (and spring!). We have cats and I was concerned they'd dig or claw at the new blanket, but the weave is plenty tight and they leave it alone!
Ok, I'm always cold & don't like sleeping under weight of bulky blankets and my husband doesn't like to be hot. This wool blanket fits the bill for both of us. It was a battle every night as who had more blanket on who's side, problem solved, I ordered the straw in king (as our labs sleep with us) the blanket feels light on but oh so warm for three seasons. I had some trepidation when reading that it is machine washable, since when is wool washable. Let me say it washes very nicely in front load machine on gentle/hand wash cycle and low on front load dryer or hang outside to dry (now who doesn't love that smell, fresh linens while drifting off to sleep). For added warmth in winter I've paired it with king size sateen down comforter now no one wants to get out of bed!
