Having received a pair of these chinos the other day, I can say that I was very dissatisfied with this product's workmanship and material quality. As appears to have been the case with a few other recent commenters, I too bought a pair of these chinos a few years ago. They are far superior to this most recent offering. The ones I purchased earlier are made of heavier gauge material and have a much nicer finish to them. I really expected a far better product from L.L. Bean. I hope they review customer feedback and take appropriate action to ensure that their product standards strive to meet the high expectations of their loyal customers.
I buy chinos from LL Bean on a regular basis, and this particular style is my favorite. When I had a problem with the clasp on a pair that I had been wearing for about 6 months LL Bean did not hesitate to exchange them for a new pair. Customer service is worth any premium you may pay for their products.
