This turtleneck did, indeed, feel very silky. Hence, I think it was probably worth the extra money (over the cost of the regular turtleneck). The only slight issue was that it seemed to shrink a fair amount.
I love the soft material and have ordered several, however, I find the neck to be too large and sloppy looking. I have even put them totally through the dryer and it does not help. I would suggest a slight addition of spandex or a material that would hold the neck in place. It's a great shirt otherwise.
I love these turtlenecks because of the fabric and how soft it is and how the actual turtleneck retains its shape by not stretching out too much. I also like the color choices.
But they are too short - both body length and sleeve length, not so much at first but continues to shorten through time. This makes it difficult when wearing below-the-waist pants because the shirt length just about clears the pants waist after a few months' washings.
I continue to buy these, though, because the good far outweighs the length issue. My suggestion is to have 2 styles of these turtlenecks - one for below-the-waist pants and one for at-the-waist pants.
