These turtles have been the mainstay of my work wardrobe in fall and winter, worn under jackets, and I had hoped to add a few colors this fall, but I'll just be wearing all my old ones. The fit has changed on these. The fabric is thinner. It's very soft, the neck is perfect, not too tight. The body is longer...too long for a petite person. But the sleeves are the big problem - much longer and narrower than last year, verging on tight. They kind of ruch up instead of lying nice and smooth on my arm. My arms are not fat or muscular so I don't understand the tight sleeve idea. I've noticed other Beans tees are also going to tight sleeves, which I don't like at all.
Generally, I think the shirt is good quality and well made. The color choices are generally to my liking as well. However, the neck is too loose for me. For this reason only, I will not be buying any more of these turtlenecks - I have found one elsewhere that I like the "stand up fit" from much better. Although I wish they had the LL Bean color choices!
I love my L.L.Bean Pima Cotton shirts and I have been buying them for years. They are silky, don't wrinkle much, can be used with jeans or with pearls. However, the colors are a problem. There used to be some elegant colors such as beige, chocolate brown, spruce, stone, raisin, olive; but presently, there are only Easter egg colors. We need some better colors that can fit with a suit, a jacket.
I love your turtlenecks and they fit well. They are really soft and wash well. Little or not ironing. They run larger than most other turtlenecks.I would like to see the neck smaller.
