I wear turtlenecks for much of the year. Keeping my neck warm matters to me. I have found that LLBean has the best turtlenecks of anybody, anywhere!
Some other companies make turtlenecks that are baggy at the neck, some are baggy in the body. These are nicely shaped in both areas, and don't lose that shape in the laundry. I find that the LLBean turtlenecks keep their color well after washing too. I get many long years of wear out of each one, which is why I'm willing to pay slightly more to get them from LLBean.
I have loved these tees for years!! I wear all styles, all colors, all year. They wear well and are a good length. There was a color that was discontinued a few years back and I still miss it...???seed? A wonderful lime green. I practically hand wash the couple I still have. My only complaint...the new shirts seem to be a bit lighter weight than before. I would be willing to pay a bit more for the original weight.
This pima cotton turtleneck is very soft and fits true to size. Like all the clothing I have purchased from LLBean, it is very good and reliable quality.
I bought one of these to see if I liked it (I'm fussy with turtlenecks, have tossed many brands) and then ordered 3 more colors. The fabric is soft and loose, the turtleneck is super comfortable, and the best part is the hemmed cuff ~ no annoyingly tight rib-knitted cuff.
