Whoever doesn't own a LLBean turtleneck listen up.....What more can be said after nearly 400 reviews on "the turtleneck".....but That is the most comfortable, softest, almost silky material you could want to wear. Plus it comes in a beautiful array of colors to choose from. A little dressier by having hemmed cuffs on the sleeves and not the usual banded cuffs. This fabric is so nice it will be hard to go back to regular old 100% cotton....Just another great garment from llbean!
I love these turtlenecks and have lots of them. The neck is the perfect length for scrunching, and the hemmed sleeves are so much more attractive than sewn on cuffs. The weight is perfect for layering. But they do shrink, so I try never to put mine in the dryer. I hang them to dry, which significantly reduces the shrinkage. Still, I order at least one new one each fall to replace the one that somehow made it into the dryer when my husband did the laundry!
I've been buying these pima cotton turtlenecks for over 20 years and you'd think there'd be nothing new to say, but these are the features that make this one the best yet. The neck is sized just right, not too tight or loose. The length of the neck fabric is just right, long enough to wear scrunched or traditionally folded over with an ample fold. The arms are long enough to cover my long arms over the wrist and full enough to not be tight to the arm. Finally, I like the introduction of the color raisen brown and would welcome more subtle shades such as this one!
