Love the shirts before washing. Why do they shrink in length? I have so many turtlenecks but they all get too short. I wash them in cold water, hang them up, but still get the same results. Does anyone else have this problem?
I miss the turtlenecks of a few years ago -- hefty cotton; soft; relaxed fit; hemmed sleeves. I hover between an L and XL. I purchased XL to be safe. The sleeves are oddly tight and too long for me. The body is also rather long [which I like]. I would not describe the fit as "relaxed" -- I likely will wear this is a layer under other garments as the bust is a bit snug; and the thin fabric reveals lumps that I would rather weren't revealed. I will wash it again and dry on "high"; perhaps that will shrink the sleeves in length as others have indicated happens. The hunt continues.........
I've been looking for a turtleneck to wear under the scotch plaid flannel shirts, and this is the one. Very soft almost silky cotton and lightweight. I'm 5' 3 /12" and 155 pounds, 36DDD and a thick middle with more of a pot than I'd like. I ordered the small and found it to be too long in the body and the arms, so I put it in the dryer on permanent press. It shrunk significantly, and now it's perfect. I bought the red, and it's a lovely vibrant colour. I like this turtleneck so much that I just ordered 4 more.
This turtleneck is so soft against my skin, and the neck scrunches nicely. The fit is perfect, and the length is perfect for staying tucked in. I love the hemmed sleeves (rather than stitched on cuffs) so that I can wear it for casual or dress wear. It's worth paying the extra cost over the competitor's product.
