This turtleneck is the best I've found in the course of much looking. I first ordered a "S" but after washing and drying in cold temperatures, it did get a bit too snug, so now I find the "M" is perfect. The fit is terrific. I am between S and M in many garments...this tee in M is just perfect. I am about to order three other colors!
I'm not a big girl. 5'5" and 140 lbs. I have thin arms and they are constricted in the sleeves. This is not a relaxed fit. Even if it's sized for layering, please add an inch in the arms! LLBean, you are dangerously close to being 3 strikes and you're out. And I used to be a walking billboard for your company. Jeans, sweaters, shirts, twills, handbag, etc........... Where did you go???
Brand-new the fit is perfect. Love the Pima fabric. I'll have to be very careful to not shrink it. It's doomed if my husband helps with the laundry because he tosses everything in the dryer!
I ordered this in nautical red, and found it to be way too bright a red. I also found myself swimming in the extra-large (my normal size). I exchanged it for a navy blue large, which looks much better (both color- and size-wise). Now, my only complaint is a little irritation around my neck from the stitching of the neck seam. I'm hoping it will diminish with a few more washings.
