I've been ordering from LLBean for years, but may have to stop entirely. I've given up on the regular cotton mock turtlenecks after years of wearing them. First the sizes became unpredictable, then they shrank drastically even with delicate cold washing and not putting them in the dryer. Last year the Pima Turtlenecks were silky feeling and nicely sized, so I ordered them again this year--but they aren't the same. The silkiness is gone, the sleeves are tight and short and the fabric feels heavy.
I used to order the Bayside slacks, but have stopped because of problems with fit, length, and quality,
I now read the reviews before i order anything from LL Bean and usually don't order because of comments about inconsistent sizing and most of all poor quality.
I'm sorry to see this happening to such an old and previously reliable company.
I have purchased many of these shirts and the quality is the best around. The fabric is so soft. However, the length is too short and the shirt does not stayed tucked in to pants or skirts. If the shirt is left untucked and I raise my arms and am not wearing sit-at-the-waist pants, I have to be careful not to expose my bare midriff. I'm not requesting a tunic style top, but another 1-2 inches in length would be more practical. The color selection this season does not pair well with my warm skin tone. LL Bean, when you come out with new colors each season, please choose a color palette that offers both warm and cool colors.
I bought this in white for this winter. It's very soft and the neck is not too tight. That is a biggy for me. I can't wait until it gets cold enough to wear it!
