I look for new turtlenecks each fall to update my cloest. I purchased four of these shirts. I love the feel of the fabric - silky smooth. I will agree that these shirts could be an inch or two longer. I'm 5'7" tall and like to wear my shirts tucked in. The length will work with high waisted skirts or slacks but will be hard to keep tucked in with lower rise slacks.
I have several of these shirts, in both the turtle and mock turtle styles. They are absolute classics. I have colours that are no longer available, and are one of the few items in the LLBean catalogue that I check out (and usually purchase) year after year. Super soft, they maintain their shape well without the colour fading.
The comment about them being a little short is correct, which is why I didn't rate them as 5-* I'm 5'10" and another 1.5" - 2" on the length would make them perfect.
Although others say this shirt is too short that is the reason that I buy it! I don't like the "bunched" feel when I tuck in the shirt. This is great-I am 5ft7in tall and these are my favorite turtlenecks. I dislike the look of too tight-around-the-tummy for shirts. Many times I have cut off the bottom and hemmed them shorter so they don't fall across the widest part of the hips-not a good look on most women.
I ordered a black and a creme pima turtleneck in a large. It fits perfectly either to layer or alone. Previous reviews said it was too short or shrunk. This season must be different sizing and material. It falls mid hip and is soft attractive material. Another season--a great turtleneck.
