This is one of the few places we can buy with confidence knowing you stand behind your product, that the service is excellent, and there will never be a hassle. Your staff is trained to put the customer first. Unhappy reviewers simply have not learned to contact customer service and resolve their issues. I know this shirt will perform or you will handle it. It is why I come to you first when shopping.
Lately, LLBeans shirts have changed and are now disappointing. Whether its a change in their fit or in the fabric, they are just not comfortable to wear anymore. I have been buying clothing from LLB for decades having grown up in NE and never really ran into any problems. Honestly, 75% of my wardrobe is LLB. That will have to change.
This shirt was so poor, I had to turn around while driving to the office to change. THe fit, the feel of the fabric was amazing poor. That's a disappointment after sizing problems with the polo shirt purchased before it which had never happened before.
Now I think we'll reconsider our usual trip to Freeport to stock up during our visit in July.I guess its time to find nother brand.
I own 7 or 8 LL Bean, short sleeved, oxford cloth shirts. Just received the French blue. I love these shirts but I was a little disappointed in how light blue the French blue color is. If this is French blue, then the blue must be a pale, robin's egg blue! Also, I may be imagining things, but the weight of the cloth seems a little lighter than my other oxford cloth shirts.
For you vertically challenged men out there, I'm a short, round guy: 5'6" with a 46" waist, so I buy the 18" neck to accommodate my girth. That makes the shoulders a bit wide and the sleeves a little too long for a short guy, but they don't "stretch" across my waist and they are very comfortable, especially when sitting down. Overall, it's still a very good look.
These shirts are truly wrinkle free out of the dryer, but look even better when pressed. And they hold a press and look very sharp for a long time.
I bought this as an easy-to-care-for travel shirt. It has everything I was looking for: comfortable fabric even in hot weather, great fit, and, most importantly, I can wash it in a hotel sink, wring it out, hang it to dry overnight (less than 6 hours really), and have a shirt that looks like it's just been pressed. "Wrinkle free" here really means wrinkle free. I was amazed by how well it looked in the morning. This is now my favorite shirt to travel with.
