This is, by far, one of my husband's favorite summer shirts!. It's a durable, crisp, "go to" shirt, and the wrinkle-resistant classic oxford cloth insures its appropriateness for ANY occasion! Hubby has worn it as a dress shirt, with slacks and blazer, and also with his favorite (L. L. Bean) cargo shorts. It's truly that versatile! He prefers the vertical stripe, and owns 3 of them. The first one was purchased years ago, and the most recent, within the year. Thank you, L. L. Bean, and please do NOT discontinue this great product.
I ordered a Burnt Orange color and what I received was clearly a PINK shirt.
I've returned one of these before (in pink) and there was no difference between burnt orange and pink. Maybe Bean had extra Pink shirts and re packaged them as burnt orange ?
I shouldn't have to pay for return shipping. I would have never ordered it if I knew that it was pink.
I love the quality of the Bean Oxford shirts. First, at 5ft 9in, I found the regular fit shirt to be just a little too short. With only 7 buttons and none below the belt, it untucked too easily. Now I order the tall. Second, color names and descriptions are a bad match to the actual color. The french blue is just like the common light blue found at other retailers. I expected a darker blue. The burnt orange may have a hint of orange but it really is more pink than orange. While I haven't ordered all colors, I would guess that the light blue and french blue are very similar as are the burnt orange compared to the pink.
