The Warm Box-Stitch Goose Down Comforter is great for year round use. It's light enough to use in warmer weather, but warm/heavy enough to use in the winter. The color is closer to butter-cream. It's hard to gauge online what it really looks like, due to different computer monitor color calibrations. However, its color shouldn't be much of a concern, since it's easier to keep clean with a comforter cover.
Love this comforter! Bought the queen size for a queen bed and about 12 inches hangs off the end and each side. Great that they offer a larger queen size (instead of just the full/queen that's made for both). This is surprisingly warm (without being hot) for it's weight. On colder nights, need to add an extra blanket or quilt. Filled out nicely right out of the package, mild down smell that went away within a week. Some crinkling when used without a comforter cover (but really better to be used with one). Even after vigorous shaking, saw virtually no feathers come out through seams, and after a couple months, have not seen any feathers or felt any poking through. Good distribution of feathers throughout comforter. Great price!
i really went all out looking for the right down comforter for my 4 years olds new twin bed. i wanted quality, with a nice price. i went to department stores, chain stores and looked all over the internet. why did i buy llbean. they stand behind there products!
i was originally put off by others reviews of the color. it doesnt look like the picture they are right but who wants a white comforter anyway? it is a yellowish/cream. i like it. i think it will look great when i take the duvet off to wash it! you dont look at the fabric or color and think it needs or should be covered. i could not be happier!
