I read all the reviews before I purchased this slipcover and it is beautiful, a perfect fit. I purchased the large size, my sofa has bulky arm rests and 4 large attached pillows across the back so I was a little worried about it not fitting but I have to say, it is very well made, it's soft and it fits perfectly.I just love it!
I bought 2 of the denim slipcovers a year ago for some oversized chairs that needed recovering, but I didn't want to spend a lot of money. The slipcovers were a little big, but ok in our casual decor. The material has held up well except for the color. The chairs are near a window that doesn't get direct sunlight and both are badly faded now which is disappointing, but I thought for the price, I would just get 2 new ones. Wow - the price has jumped in a year - no way are they worth this much money, particularly given the non-fast color. I can get custom covers for just a little more than this price. Too bad.
I like the "natural" color and the piping is a nice detail. The fabric is good - it's thick enough to cover the med-dark color of our sofa, but the fabric is beginning to show some wear in the seat area. Bought it about 5-6 mos ago and it gets used every day. As for the fit, the arms seem extra large. Haven't been able to add enough padding to fill the arms. Also, it's a balancing act - to tuck in enough of the back seat material so it doesnt always come out vs. having the ticking in the front line up neatly. Overall, it's not bad.
This is a tough review because it's at opposite ends of the review for different reasons. I would give the fabric a 5 stars. Its super heavy, crisp and beautiful. The fit however, is a different story. That I would give a 1 or 2. Maybe if we had an LL Bean couch it would fit better, but we don't. I got this for our summer home (shack, really) to keep the sofa clean with wet bathing suits and dogs. That it does, but so would a blanket thrown over it and it might look just as good. I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the crisp, tucked in look thats in the LL Bean picture. I got mine in a bin sale at the outlet store and am keeping it for that reason, otherwise it would go back.
