We have had the chairs for about 3 weeks and we still admire the way they look. It took a few days to get use to the height. The chairs seem to be good quality and comfortable. Considering the price, it is a bargain, I saw an almost identical chair at twice the price. Black makes our maple cabinets stand out. In fact, before we bought the chairs an interior decorator suggested painting a few our walls a dark brown (to bring out the cabinets and off set our granite counter top, coffee color-black, tan, gold swirls).
The chair was comfortable, but the rush seat was flaking pieces that ended up on the dining room hardwood floor. Felt it would not hold up and returned them. Expected better quality rush seats.
I've had these chairs for several years, and I recommend them highly. They are expensive, yes, but I've never regretted buying them. The quality is excellent and they are very comfortable (for ladderback chairs). I'm sure I'll never replace them. They are a classic and built to last.
