This handbag is a steal at this price. The leather is thick and the bag is so well made. I bought one (lighter color) a year ago and it still looks great even after daily use. I just bought another (cordovan) and it is slightly larger than last year's model. It Is a little taller and the handles are slightly longer, which are both a good thing. Not sure if its a fluke but I thought I'd mention it for those who thought the handles were too short before.
The Town and Field Tote, Leather Mini would be perfect if it had a key fob/clip. I have a hard time every time finding my keys in this bag. I have to take out items to find them. If they were attached by clip, that would simplify my life! Otherwise this bag is perfect! I have had lots of compliments on it. I love how it stands up all by itself.
I had the opportunity to compare the mini and standard-size totes. Both are made of durable leather and feel like they'll last forever. Both have that classic, unadorned look I love. One was "dark brown," which is actually more of a medium brown, like milk chocolate. The other was "cordovan," which is a rich chestnut.
I needed something that could carry my stuff to work each day, including my iPad in its padded sleeve, a wallet, keys, and the usual necessities. But I don't like to lug around a lot of stuff.
The mini tote suits my needs perfectly. It holds everything I need (including that iPad) and looks great. The handles could be a bit longer; it doesn't fit well over my shoulder, so I have to carry it in my hand or over my forearm. Not a big issue for me since I don't have far to walk with it.
The standard size felt more like luggage. It's huge and would hold a weekend trip's worth of stuff, plus a laptop. (That one did fit over my shoulder better.) I liked it, but it would get pretty heavy if full and I just didn't need that much room for a commuter bag.
Great tote, and I look forward to using it for years. I would just slightly increase the length of the handles, and would add studs to protect the bottom.

I do agree that the handles are a bit shorter than desired but it does not take away from the bag at all! I got the tan color and it matches everything, looks classy, and I've received over a dozen compliments and I've only had it a week! The middle pocket is a bit flimsy but theres plenty of space and other pockets that make this great. I travel, work full time, go to school, and babysit and use it for everything! I'm 24 and I think it's practical for any age! I literally fit everything, lunch included, that I need for the day in this bag.
