I gave this tote a 4 almost 5 as the floral/tapestry design is almost dull-like,certainly not vibrant..I do not require bold colours all the time but this when it arrived looked a little faded and old!?? I am fine with the handles as they stay properly on my shoulders and some times these "long" handles are a bit too much..too much handle!!It causes some women to look clumsy and all hand bag ..not smart or fashionable.. just all purse and no style!Inside the purse it is very organized,zipper and compartments!The scent of the leather is so natural and pleasant. I purchased this tote on sale and was happy even though I paid duty and tax!! This bag will serve in a compact manner and be easy on the shoulders,etc.!Good value and a look of the"old world" about it!! L.L.Bean is a smart/trendy store!!
THis a beautiful bag. Gorgeous leather, smooth, organized. I do however have to return it. The handles are too short and you cannot sling it over your shoulder. Longer drop on the straps would be great and I would keep it. I would also love this as a carry on so it would be great if it had the sleeve to go over the handle of a rolling suitcase. But otherwise it it a beautiful bag--I'd love to see these adjustments made so I could exchange it instead of return.
I ordered this bag last December, it was on back order so I received it in February. The bag is extremely well made and the leather is of the highest quality. Unfortunately, I am returning it tomorrow. After using it for about a month, I found myself putting the mini tote inside a larger bag when going to work and so have since stopped using it. The handles are too short to carry the bag on the shoulder. This provided a problem for me when going to work with my lunch, extra shoes, etc. I found myself using a large canvas bag and putting everything into that so that I only had one thing to carry and could put over my shoulder. This is, of course, a personal preference so please don't let it dissuade you in ordering the mini tote. I just thought my review may help anyone who is considering ordering, but who does not like to carry their bags on their lower arm, like me. Hope this helps. :-)
I recently received the Town and Field Mini Leather Tote and was very pleasantly impressed. This is an awesome bag. Just the right size if you are looking for a nice leather purse. It is well stitched, smells heavenly, and has a lot of pockets inside. I love that it even has a place for your phone! The handles are a bit short although it fit over my shoulder fine but with a coat I could see it would be a problem. The good news is that with light layered clothing it fits snuggly under your arm so it would be very secure especially in a crowded shopping environment. I like that it has a top zipper as well so nothing can fall out. The leather is really top quality and is an excellent value for the money. Saddly, there is no llbean logo on the outside or any logo at all. I don't mind advertising for llbean as their products are always top notch but that's ok I am sure I will get plenty of compliments and can pass on the good word to shop at llbean. If you are looking for a quality leather purse then this might do it for you.
