I have been hoping LLB would use the embroidered canvas tote as a model for a leather mini tote for several years. HURRAY for doing so: right size, right sturdiness, right weight; right appearance. This is a winner!
So refreshing to find a basic, no-frills purse without a lot of hardware or logos hanging off it. I bought it in black, and find it to be very versatile. Handles could be a touch longer, as the purse doesn't fit over my shoulder very well and I end up carrying it "Queen Elizabeth" style at my elbow. I love the organizer pockets inside; my phone fits perfectly. I discovered recently that an iPad will fit snugly inside the purse as well, a nice treat.
I was immediately attracted to the rich tapestry design. It's gorgeous. The rich colors lend themselves being a fall/winter purse. However, the length of the handles nix that use. No way could I use this bag in the season it would be best suited for since the handles would not fit over outer wear. Deeply disappointed that because of the short handles I had to return such a beautiful purse.
I got the Cordovan Leather Tote.. This is a very large bag, much too large to be a purse but is great as a work/laptop bag or travel tote. When I received this bag, I admit I was a little surprised to see "Made in China" on the packaging, but I have been very pleased with the quality of the bag. My one complaint is that the middle zipper pocket is not deep enough to hold my 15" Macbook and allow the compartment to zip up. I inserted my own padded zip liner for my laptop. What I LOVE the most about this bag is the top zipper to close the entire bag - keeps everything in its place! I also like that the leather and structure of the bag feel immediately broken in and soft, and the style is very chic "old world" European! I look forward to using this bag for many years to come.
