ProsDurable, Great Value, Performing as Expected, and stylish
I just received the black town and field mini tote in black this week. It is perfect for a purse and is stylish but appears sturdy as well. As usual I am not dissapointed by my L.L. Bean purchase. This bag is a great addition for anyone who wants to look good but desires quality and practicality.

This is a great mid-sized purse - attractive, well made and large enough for all necessities, with compartments for cell phone and for small items. I highly recommend it as an every day "go-to" purse.
As a former flight attendant and frequent traveler, I am pretty picky about my luggage. I beat it up, I expect it to last and I would like it to look stylish.
I fly to Asia frequently, I want something for the cabin that wii not bother the crew, fit under my seat yet be versatile enough to carry enough clothes for a weekend down at the shore
This bag seems perfect. It is roomy, will fit under an airline seat. It feels pretty sturdy but is really stylish. I agree with the other reviews about it looking like coach except way better price. It is roomy enough for my iPad, camera,slippers, pillow, small wrap, and various other "in flight" essentials and when you get where you are going, nice enough to go out shopping on the town.
I would have added two more things: brass studs on the bottom to protect it from the floor and an outside side pocket to hold a pen, my glasses, and my boarding pass, ticket and passport while going through security.
I ordered the cordovan, I hope it maintains its look. On the whole, a really good buy for frequent travelers.
I was very excited to buy the smaller bag but when I got it the straps were far too small especially if you wear it with a winter coat. The quality and the leather were very nice and it would be much more useful if it were a bit bigger. The size up is too big and this is just too small. It would have been helpful to have a picture showing a woman carrying the bag. Aside from the size this was a great bag though.
