ProsDurable, perect for town&country, casual yet elegant
These reviews seem to be mixed up between big tote and mini tote. This review is for the big tote. I love the bag and it's quite roomy, really more of a carry everywhere tote from work to home than a purse for out on the town events. My only big disappointment is that the wildlife print shown on the website is no longer available. I liked the wildlife print and mainly ordered it for that reason (it added the LLBean country touch to a classy city tote) but unfortunately, the bag I received has a blah plain kaki lining. Oh well.
This bag is just great!!! It's got the quality and versatility you expect from anything with the the L.L. Bean name. I have used this bag for a shopping tote, a knitting tote, a weekday tote for work and I've also used it to pack for a weekend away. I love all the inside storage pockets and the bag is very, very roomy. I liked it so much that I bought my daughter one for Christmas. I can't rave about it enough. I would definitely buy this again and I have recommended it to many friends.
This is a beautiful, practical, classic bag. Well designed & well made. Stylish enough to not be dowdy, but not 'trendy'. My only slight quibble is that it's a little inaccurate to call this "mini" -- this is a normal-sized purse. I'm really happy with it!
ProsDurable, Great Value, Performing as Expected, worth every penny!
I recently spent 5 weeks traveling abroad and took this bag with me as my purse/tote/briefcase and it worked wonderfully! The size was perfect for hauling lots of 'stuff' but also lightweight enough to carry all day with just a few things when sightseeing without my shoulder getting tired/sore. The interior of the bag was designed perfectly for me to keep all of my things organized and easy to get to. I do agree with another reviewer that the wildlife print fabric choosen for the inside of the bag is a little weird; however, the color of the fabric is great! Dark enough to hide any dirt or stains, but light enought that you can still see to the bottom of the bag. I highly recommend everyone to order this bag - it's great! I just noticed that LL Bean has a mini version of this bag and I will be ordering that as soon as I submit this review!
