This purse looks and feels like a Coach bag for 1/3 the price! The leather is soft, and it has a light lining so with a black purse, you can actually see down to the bottom of it! It's divided into 3 sections with the middle one zippered. There are plenty of pockets and compartments to hold phones, glasses, pens, credit cards, etc. The whole thing zips close, so everything was secure. It was a godsend on our recent trip to New York (I was even able to carry around an extra pair of shoes for my daughter when she got blisters!) The only thing I would change to be to add a shoulder strap, since the purse has a tendency to get a bit heavy once you load it up. If you like Brenda Lee Johnson's purse from the Closer - you'll love this one!
It appears that some of these reviews are for the tote, and some for the mini-tote. I live in a snowy climate and need a bag that closes completely in the winter. I have used the leather tote with zip closing for several years and love it for carrying shoes, sweater, lunch, umbrella, file folders, coffee thermos. I was hoping for a slightly smaller version for summer, when I don't carry quite so much junk ... but the mini-tote is VERY mini. It would be an OK purse but can't really fit anything other than small personal items (wallet, keys, cell) and perhaps a small paperback. Certainly not my MacBook. The handle is very short and if I'm wearing a sleeve with any bulk, I can't tuck it over the shoulder. For me, Bean has missed the mark and it's going back. I wish they would make the same thing about 3 inches bigger.
I have a hard time finding a purse that will keep me organized & able to find what I'm looking for & I think I have finally found it. The mini tote is the perfect size -- not too big & not to small & everything fits nicely with room to spare. I'm looking forward to using it for many years to come.

I've never spent this much money on a purse but it's worth every penny. In fact, this is the second tote bag I've purchased as my older one was beginning to look a bit worn on the outside. I'm not complaining as the older purse has seen daily use as a purse and as a overnight bag.
There is enough room to stash a travel-type nightgown, toothbrush, assorted personal care items; and all the rest of your purse stuff.
I now use the new bag to carry around my daily purse goodies and my iPad.
Overall, this is an excellent purchase as the tote is well made both inside and out.
