ProsDurable, Great Value, Performing as Expected, too big
Bought this in black smooth leather and have been toting it around for a few months now. It's a good bag (especially for the price). The pros: it stands up on its own so I can find things easily; the zippered center compartment keeps things separated & organized; the zip top keeps things secure; and it's still looking nice so it seems durable.
However... I'm looking for a dark brown bag but I won't be buying the brown version of this because it is not quite perfect, in several ways. The perfect version of this bag would: 1) be a little smaller (say, 18"X12"X5" or so) 2) have slightly longer straps 3) have seams on the straps positioned so they do not dig into your shoulder when the bag is heavily loaded 4) have a plain, solid-color lining 5) and have an exterior pocket for my cell phone so when it rings I don't have to fish it out of the bag.
Offer *that* bag, in good-quality dark brown leather (preferably pebble-finished to hide scratches), and I'll buy it.

The tote is excellent. It is definitely for the working woman. I love all the compartments. I wasted no time transferring all my belongings in this bag. Before I my husband purchased this bag for me, I had at two bags and a purse. Therefore, I was unorganized and always fumbling through my many bags to find things. Now I can fit my laptop and other key important items for work. however, the only downside is the color. I ordered Dark Brown but it looks Tan.
I purchased the smooth leather version of this tote back in 2007. After a long backorder, it finally arrived. With the leather exterior and roomy interior, it is a professional woman's perfect 'case'. I always haul a lot of stuff back and forth to work, extras of everything. This case still looks new. I like the way it stands up and works as a 'file case' easy to rummage in. The internal zippered section helps to organize. I am not tall, but I can fling the case over one shoulder to easily maneuver from parking lot to building. The zippered top keeps items safely inside, a must in bad weather. I have discovered that for long life, you need leather for things that are used daily like purses and wallets. This tote is worth the investment.
Ordered this while on sale. The stone color is perfect for use year round. Very nice size and the leather is lovely. Am looking forward to using often and for many years.
