This is a quality tote for it's price. I like it's size and shape. I also have french designer bags but this one is smarter with handy compartments. I recently quit work to become a stay-at-home mom so I use it as a diaper bag. Yup. I have a smaller Bean diaper bag to use on shorter trips, but this tote holds a days worth of everything for frequent trips to grandma's. It's just perfect.
This is the first product I have purchased that I feel worth taking time to review...I have used this bag almost everyday for work, for over one year and it is in perfect condition! Simply put, I abuse this poor bag and it keeps ticking...the lining and the straps have not worn out at all not even a little. It works perfect for carrying files and paperwork and the middle zippered compartment allows me to put wallet, etc in a safe place. Extra pockets are so helpful for phone, lipsticks, business cards, easy to get to all. It is a BIG bag, it is heavy but all the big bag ladies out there would love it...because you can haul everything with you and not look crazy...actually after you zip it up you can still look put together. It is an ideal bag for driving to an office or school and using as a more chic alternative to a briefcase. I have no problem fitting it over my shoulder and have used it on NYC trains, but it is a big heavy bag and I prefer messenger bags in big crowds and for long walks...but for home -to car -to office it is perfect! I wish I had a good reason to get the Dk Brown...but my Cordovan goes with everything and just won't quit!
This tote is roomy and keeps my items safe and in place with the zippered closure. My laptop fits in with electrical cord, a book or 2, plus a change of clothes. The center compartment is zippered as well keeping smaller personal items in place. Side pockets on the interior wall keep pens, business cards, air card, etc easily accessible. The shoulder strip is the right length and small enough in diameter that is fits just right on my shoulder and does not fall/slip off.
I LOVE, love, love this bag so much that I plan to order it in dark brown and stone too!! I also love that it goes so well with the Premium Ticket Wallet that I ordered to match. I've been trying to convince myself to buy this bag for almost 3 years, and I finally took the plunge. When I brought it into work, the girls all thought I had a new designer bag and could not believe that it came from L.L. Bean! This bag is exactly what I've been looking for and I will definetly be using it as my everyday bag and as a carry-on purse when I travel!! The quality of the leather is fantastic, and the interior lining is perfect! All of the pockets are great - I love to organize - and the pattern on the lining fits the bag so well! Great job L.L.
