I was looking for a bag that I could use as a carry-on for travel but it had to be unisex so my husband could use it when he was traveling on his own. This is the bag! It has a classic style and empty, is lightweight. I was able to fit binders, legal-sized notepads, a book and a couple files in it. Inside is a zippered pocket the length of the bag. Very useful for personal items such as a wallet or jewelry I didn't want packet in my luggage. I think I may order another one soon so it could be a, "year round" purse. I chose the color cordovan and it's beautiful!
I have been looking at this tote for more than a year. For some reason I hesitated, thinking I wanted a famous logo French brand. I ended up getting both and the French brand is going back. This tote is so manageable and functional. The way the inside is designed, I will be organized and able to find whatever I need. I will use this when I need a larger briefcase and as a weekender. FABULOUS leather and highly recommend. This will be the perfect gift for a couple of people at Christmas. Try it - you won't be disappointed nor will you find a better value - as with all LLBean products!
This roomy (black) bag was great for my "purse" on my last flight. I had a small carry-on bag and this bag that served as my purse. It fit underneath the seat in front of me (barely). I was worried about scarring up the leather; however, the scratches blend in so that they are not visible unless you really look for them. I also used it as a purse for the wedding I attended. It was a little large for that purpose, but I did have everything that I needed (even a change of clothes for the long trip home). I really do like the workmanship of this bag. Everything is well stitched and sturdy. There is a place for your passport, phone, pens, DL, & credit cards. It has a large zipper pocket that would fit a laptop. There is room for magazines, books, and some snacks. Love this bag!
For Mother's Day we gave this tote to my active mother-in-law who needed a nice bag to carry everything from papers to needlework. When it arrived, I wanted it! She was thrilled to receive it.
