... it came in the medium size 12"H x 13"W x 6"D.. The big size is too big, and the mini not as functional as I would like it to be... so PLEASE LL Bean, make it in a Medium tote size!
I just received this bag today. I love it. I can get my items organized inside this bag. I am only 5 feet tall, 110 lbs. It fits well for little people like me. It is nice if LL Bean can make the medium size of this bag which is slightly bigger than this Leather Mini.
It has 3 credit card slots next to the phone compartment. The phone compartment is too small for the newer model phones. LL Bean should make the phone compartment bigger than this. The phone compartment has a strap to keep the phone safe. How about the credit cards? I would rather have the strap on the credit card slots to secure them rather than on the phone section.
I will buy another one if LL Bean makes another that is slightly bigger than this one.
Should have read all the reviews but let myself be seduced by a reduced price and a lighter weight for the quilted version which is now discontinued. (1) Straps too short. (2) Unattached zipper end means it takes both hands to close it. The mystery is how two such easily fixed design issues made it through useability testing. Returning.
I was given this tote in tan leather for Christmas at least 6 years ago, and it is still going strong after all these years of daily use as my work briefcase. In looking over it before writing the review, I notice one area at the very bottom where the stitching has started to loosen, but nothing else. The leather has worn beautifully, and although it looks well used is still classy enough to bring to court. It is disappointing, though, after all these years, to see that LLBean has not taken any of the excellent customer suggestions to make this the perfect bag - slightly longer handles and an outside pocket. So, even when it gets too battered for daily use, I'll probably wait to get a new one or look around for an alternative.
