The best purse I have ever had. I received it as a gift 2 years ago and carried it every day. It is very comfortable to carry and has weathered very well as fine leather does. The strap came loose at the seam but I am convinced it was being over stuffed and everywhere I have been for the last 2 years.LL Bean replaced the purse. (i asked if it could be repaired and the replacement was suggested)I am happy to have a new purse and am already breaking in the new one. It is still the gift and the prettiest,best leather purse I have had.
I received this bag as a present. Love the bag, but within a few weeks the straps started unraveling. There was long threads and "hairs" down the straps. I would cut them and then more unravel. Great bag - but the strap issue would stop me from recommending.
The quality of this bag, as compared to the many things I have purchased from L.L. Bean, is a disappointment. The straps are stiff and feel like plastic. I don't expect them to last long. Closing the main flap is a challenge. It is hard to get it snapped without holding it with both hands and feeling for the snaps. I almost returned it, but decided to deal with it.
