I was disappointed with this item surprisingly. I requested it for Christmas and got it from my husband. I have gotten many compliments on the color choice however within the first week the leather handle started to unravel and the straps are way too long! Also the clasp is extremely difficult to use. I have the bag full and that might be the problem. I love the material and was going to exchange this one for the tote but the reviews say that is quite large for a purse.
I have had the leather version of this purse for about 4 years now, and I love the style and convenience of a rucksack type purse. I just called to replace it for the second time because the straps keep breaking. This is definitely a design flaw. I also noted that the lining was starting to tear away from the rivets on the back panel--another stress point.. I love this design, though--very easy to use and also convenient hand's free purse. I keep replacing it because I like it so much!! LlBean has been very helpful every time I have had to replace it.
I was surprised to read the reviews of this purse straps breaking. I had the green leather rucksack for about 4 years - worked great and straps held up. Only problem was that the lining ripped out after about 3 years. I used this to haul stuff, including a thermos, to work and it worked great.
