this is the second one i have purchased. we have a small home that needs smaller furniture. i would not recommend to a family for high use with children. It is made cheaply, but meets my needs.
I have had this sectional for at least 5 or 6 years ago. I bought it in the blue denim. It has survived sleepovers, multiple spills, many children into teenagers, playing guitar hero and watching movies and a couple of knee surgeries where I spent a major part of my day on there with ice packs. I read the reviews and just wanted to say for what you pay it is a great value. It still is holding up, however, I wish that LLBean would offer slipcovers for this. I have stains from markers, glitter glue, and food spills over the years. I may have to start sewing. I do agree that the back is a little low but we have extra throw pillows and put them behind our necks on the wall.
I have the 4 piece sectional sofa plus ottoman in classic denim cotton. The size is perfect for my cottage livingroom, however the fabric has discolored. When I ordered the denim, I felt that even with moderate fading, it would still look OK, but it is not "fading", but turning a yellowish color. I flip cushions on a regular basis, but it still does not look good. I must say though that customer service has offered to send a replacement and this is the reason that I am a faithful customer of LLBean.
I like the scale and light weight of this couch. But the only thing attaching the sections is Velcro which is attached to the couch by flimsy staples. I've had it 6 months and it already looks worn. I wouldn't choose it again.
