I was worried about this sofa after I ordered it because of all the bad reviews. I have had it about a week but we had eleven people here over the weekend 4 teens, 1 five year old. It got a good work out and every one liked the way it looked in the room. It has the fabric cover, the back would be a bit low for someone like myself. I need support for head and shoulders.
I bought just the 'left' piece since I needed a corner chair to put by a window - this was perfect for my needs - I put the 'open' side next to the wall and had a chair that fit into the small area I needed it to!
Very comfy and very soft. The only problem - my cat thinks I bought it for him! :-) I'm constantly having to remove him from it.
We bought our sofa two years ago. Within the first year there were tears at the seams and the cushions started breaking down. This is not normal wear and tear, especially for the price!! Now that it's been two years, I'm really kicking myself for buying and keeping this thing. Generally LL Bean sells quality products, but this was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT, and such a major purchase to have this happen with...ugh!
Bought this three years ago. Initially I was thrilled, because it fit perfectly in a small TV room, the color was right (caramel), and it was very easy to move. However, within the first year the fabric started to wear, and the sections wouldn't stay together. I just sit on it at night for one to two hours, otherwise it doesn't get much use. It has an increasing number of threadbare spots, far too many too soon, especially for the price.
