We loved this set when we first purchased it. However, within 18 months the cushions were breaking down, all three back cushions were coming apart at the seams, and the sections would not stay together. This couch was in our living room, which receives light use compared to our family room. Given the price, we will be returning it. We purchased the chenille tapestry fabric. I wonder if the other fabrics held up better.
I purchased this set plus an extra armless piece -- total cost of $1,600 (plus shipping) -- in March 2007. It started falling apart within the first year. The cushions are breaking down, the fabric is coming apart at seams, and there's a section of one seat cushion that's on the verge of being threadbare. We're a family of four, and this set is in our family room, which primarily is used nights and weekends. We're not negligent; we're really pretty good about taking care of our things. This is not what I'd consider normal "wear and tear," and it's especially offensive given the price.
I was speaking with a CS rep while placing an order for other items and expressed my frustration because I didn't think the lightweight sofa would fit through the narrow doorways to the family room. She suggested 2 right sections and 2 left sections of the Sectional sofa - It worked perfectly! I ended up with 2 loveseats - The seats are very firm but comfortable - the backs are nice and soft - I also got the red microfiber and thought it was good quality fabric - Arrived quickly - It was a hit with the whole family - Very Pleased!
