They are a gift for my nephew who's going to college in upstate NY. I wanted his feet to be warm when he's hanging out in his dorm room. He loves them!

I've bought a pair years ago, to my surprise and delight it kept my feet dry and toasty under my whitewater rafting outfit. The Alaskan Nenana River's water temp was 38F. So now I bought 3 more pairs for the impending winter trip to Idaho. They are my favorite all around socks.

These socks have been a staple of my late fall and winter wardrobe for longer than I can remember. They wash and dry well; they keep their shape. However, I wear an 8.5 shoe, but I wear a small in this style of sock.
I've bought 5 pair now. Some in small some in medium. I am a woman and wear size 6.5 shoes. I am often cold. I work from my home and wear them (size small) in place of shoes or slippers. They are very WARM and cozy and wash easily. In the evening, they are great when relaxing in front of the tv. At night in colder weather, they are perfect for sleeping, as they don't bind (size medium). I do wear them as socks (with boots or shoes, although a bit bulky) sometimes. But I find them perfect for in the house. I like them better than slippers because you can wash them, and it helps keep the carpet clean.
