ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, a beautiful look for layering
Last year I purchase 2 Queen top sheets: the blue and green. We use them year round over the cotton top sheet as a very light weight blanket. LOVE, love to layer these with blankets, quilts, matelassé coverlets and down comforters depending on the season. They wash well, every other week with no fading, pilling or wrinkles. I am changing the color scheme of our bedroom this year and I'll buy 2 new solids to match. These will be used in our guest room now. I expect they will last for years.
A couple years ago I purchased the full-size flannel comforter cover to put over my duvet and I absolutely loved it - no pilling either! I just purchased the same flannel comforter cover for my queen size bed, and the ticking stripe flannel sheels and pillow cases. I immediately washed them, and put them on the bed. Within 2 or 3 days the cover and the sheets and pillow cases all started pilling really bad. I'm going to stick it out with the comforter cover and wash it a few more times, but sadly I am returning the sheets to buy the precale set.
The quality of the flannel sheets is definitely very good (LL Bean always makes a quality product), they fit my mattress well, and they were extremely warm. My only complaint was the pilling.
Shopped in many stores/on-line and these are worth the cost (King) as they do not pile up even after many washings. They FIT, which is rare and they are warm but breathe. Now have two sets and we love them.
