Loved the material and structure of the bag. The canvas shoulder bag is a great bag if you can keep it full at all times and use it as a messenger bag as designed. I tried to use it as a purse and the metal latch did not stay locked, if the bag were full of files, etc. it would have. I did not carry enough stuff in it for it to function the way it was designed to.
This purse is terrific. The width of the shoulder strap makes it very comfortable in that it does not dig into your shoulder. The purse holds a lot while still being lightweight because it's made of canvas. The compartments are handy and don't interfere with the large, roomy center section. Overall attractive appearance. I got the olive one but would consider other colors also. The leather trim adds a nice touch of class. I've received many compliments of this purse...and like it so much that I purchased 2 more for Christmas presents. L.L. Bean hit a home-run when they designed it. LOVE it!!
I have had this bag for about five years using it every day. I love this bag but have graduated to the messenger bag since I carry so much stuff. My sister loved my purse so much she ordered one. I keep it as a back up.
I got this bag to replace and old favorite purse. The bag is the perfect size--big but not gigantic, and has just the right number of pockets. The sunwashed canvas is fantastic-the distressed fabric is beautiful. I got the cocoa brown with monogramming, and it is already my favorite bag.
