After 2 years of wanting this bag, I finally ordered one & was so disappointed with the length of the shoulder strap that I returned it immediately. The main reason I wanted this smaller messenger bag was that it was advertised as having a very long strap and could be worn cross body. The strap is adjustable, but even at its longest, it was far from being a comfortable cross body bag. I loved everything else about it, the color, the material, the LLBean quality craftsmanship, but it was simply too short for my needs.
I love this bag! I bought it with the intention of using it for my polaroid camera, and other purse necessities while out and about. Its just the right size! I bought the bag in Olive and have gotten many compliments on it.
It is certainly a purse sized bag, not big enough to be a full messenger.
I wear it as a cross-body with the bag swung all the way to my back and I think its just fine, it would hang at my hip (I am 5'8") if i wore it at my side.
I've already gotten caught it the rain with it, and while not waterproof, it stood up well and kept all my stuff dry
I just received my bag today. I am a country girl from south Florida .... this bag is perfect for me. I love it!! It is exactly what I had hoped for. The canvas is heavy duty, but pliable. And I think the leather accents are great. It has more than enough room for whatever you may want to put in it. I also like the way it buckles, does not seem like it will wear out anytime soon. On my bag I did get initials, they really give it a more personal touch. Overall I would recommend this to my freinds and family. Did I mention I love my bag?? :)
