This bag is truly everthing I thought it would be. I'm looking forward to it lasting me for many years, and it seems very sturdy. I'll have to get used to unzipping to get things out, but I wanted a more secure bag for travel. My only gripe is one that another reviewer mentioned but I didn't want to believe it. BELIEVE ME if you order the Cocoa Brown it does not look the way it does here on the website. I honestly think it looks exactly like British Khaki, and I contacted LL Bean and they assured me I had received their cocoa brown color. (Though I must add their customer service was super prompt and friendly!). I would exchange it but I honestly don't think any of the colors look very nice except the brown, and that one isn't even brown! Get some more colors LLBean, because this bag is great!
Great bag that is well made. At first I didn't like the big space in the middle but realized that there were several other less noticeable zippered pockets. The bag is a little taller than my last bag but MUCH better made. The middle section is large enough to fit a netbook. In answer to a previous review, it only looks like you need to unbuckle the flap. There is actually a sliding hasp under the buckle that makes opening and closing the bag very quick and efficient. That plus the zippers on all of the pockets make this a more secure bag. The chocolate color is a bit faded but I like it and it goes well with the leather trim. All in all, this is a well built, well designed bag. I am expecting it to last for a long time. Since LLBean stands behind all of their products this was money well spent...unlike my last handbag that only lasted a year before it started falling apart....but that wasn't an LLBean bag either.
This bag is functional and great quality. But the color is not precise at all. I ordered cocoa brown and it looks anything but brown, the color is much lighter and somewhat dusty, more like "British Khaki". I really wanted it in brown... other than that it is a good bag.
