I have 3 of these bags, all are several years old and have seen much use. They don't give out. I tire of the color and so I get another. I have occasionally washed my bags in a lingerie-type washer bag on gentle cycle and air-dried the bag with a towel stuffed inside and all have come out great. The strap could be a little longer but I've had a cobbler add one more hole to the tongue and that helps. They also hold a lot of stuff, the size of both the main compartment and front pocket are perfect for me and the key fob is a nice feature.
This bag is so great I ordered 2 more in different colors. Just the right size and the material is durable,easy to find and place items into it. I just love it and people ask or tell me LLbean bag. I say yes it is with pride.
After reading all the reviews that complained the strap is too short, I took a chance. Well, they were right. It IS too short. I have been wearing it around cross body anyhow, but it hits at waist level instead of hip level, even when extended to the last hole on the strap. I'm getting used to the feel of it and have decided to just make do, but would sure have preferred a longer strap. It seems well constructed, though, and the pockets are nice.
