I returned this bag.It's probably my fault for not reading the description carefully..but I really need a bag with more pockets,both external and internal. I also thought it would be a pain to access,what with the flap and zipper. I thought the canvas would be sturdier,too...
This bag holds what I want to have ready to go when I am--wallet, checkbook, cellphone and charger, car keys, house keys, hand lotion, small calendar, to-do list, chap stick, pocketknife, grocery list with coupons, writing pens, sunglasses, and will probably hold reading glasses as well if I ever need them! I can fit a book or my full size planner in it as well, but that makes it hard to find other things in there. I'm sure it will hold a small water bottle, but I often travel with a lunchbox as well so I don't need that space. I was slightly concerned at the length of the strap esp. after reading a review that someone thought it was way to short. I am 5'5" and now really appreciate the strap(at it's longest adjustment), even over my bulky winter jacket! It doesn't interfere with my legs when I am walking and it stays behind my back if I push it there, which is great for going through tight aisles in stores, and I can easily access everything at hip height. Overall, turning into a wonderful investment!
I like everything about the bag except the shoulder strap is too short. It is difficult to wear the bag across the shoulder and be able to access the contents of the bag as it rides too high up to easily reach into.
