I love this bag. This is the second one that I have purchased. It's great for traveling as it has zippers on the top and a flap that makes it difficult for pick-pockets. It holds a bunch of stuff. In fact, I would prefer that it be a tad smaller. Otherwise it's great!!
This is the 2nd identical bag that I've purchased, the 1st one was just over 7 years ago and I've just retired it. These bags are sturdy, functional, hold all the essentials (without going to a "tote" sizing) and stand up wonderfully to abuse & time. Although LLBean does NOT recommend this, I came to the point where the old one had gotten so dirty (a chicken nuggets sauce packet broke open inside the bag) that I had to either throw it out or put it in the washer. With nothing to lose it went into the washer (delicate cold water cycle)(more than once, by the way), air dried, came out beautifully. If you're looking for a bag that is sturdy, will take punishment, and is functional, this is The Bag!!!
While looking around the LL Bean website I came across the Sunwashed Canvas Shoulder Bag. I thought it would make a great handbag for my wife as she likes rustic and non ornamented purses. I also thought that if she didn't like it, I could find a use for it myself during travel and around town as a satchel. Well, my wife loves the color and quality as well as the size so she's not giving it up. Guess I need to order another one for me! Hope I still have some coupon dollars left.
