Thanks LLBean!!! Very functional. I needed sturdy shoulder bag with multiple zipper pockets to separate small items serving different needs (personal, home and work). For add'l security, also needed large main zipper area roomy enough to hold wallet and perhaps book. This bag works very well for me!!! Would be 100% "perfect" if outside rear pocket also had zipper instead of just velcro closure. Would also buy same purse if it came in a leather version (or at least with leather bottom) to protect when/if bag is on floor.
I am impressed with how well made the bag is. It is alittle big to use as a purse for me but I see lots of people carrying purses that are of the same size or bigger. It is a very casual bag. I will keep it and am sure it will last a good many years, I just wish it came in a little bit smaller version. Also the color wasn't quite as dark as I expected it to be but I do like it. I got the cocoa brown color.
Good design, easy to carry, easy to use and find things in. Doesn't slide off my shoulder while I'm shopping. BUT the color is awful. I expected a nice military green, as displayed in the catalog and on-line. The color is actually a mottled splochy washed out dull green. The color of the fabric makes an otherwise lovely bag look cheap.

I have been carrying around very large handbags for some time and thought this bag may be a bit small for me on first site but wow was I wrong. It is easier to carry and holds more than my gianormous bags. The compartments are all secure so no worry of losing items. And I don't know what the reviewer was talking about when she said the handle was too short. I can wear it as a cross-over bag. Highly recommend.
