I purchased this bag (along with another since I couldn't decide!) to use as a range bag to carry my handgun, ammo and accessories when going to the shooting range. For now I'm using the other bag - but this one will serve the purpose equally well!
In the meantime, I will for sure be using this as my weekend getaway bag. For a fairly light packer I think it will carry all you need. The material is very strong, and the look and feel of the bag is not sloppy, but at the same time it lends a classy/casual feel rather than being stiff or too pretentious. :)
The pockets are nicely sized for personal items, and the interior is much more spacious than what I thought just going by the measurements. I actually thought this bag would be smaller and was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. I think that it looks like something I could have paid 2-3 times as much money for it.
The leather trimming on this bag is fabulous, and it complements the main material beautifully. All the closures and really the whole bag seem very sturdy and I believe this bag will last through many years of hard use. The shoulder strap is very comfortable and works well across the body or over the shoulder.
This bag is well designed and fit for everyday use for anyone... Color is good and very sturdy... It was well made with quality workmanship and it will last for a long time... I would recommend to anyone who carries all kind of odd things in their bag... It even has the small outer pocket to carry the smart phone and easy access when needed...
This is my second messenger bag of the same style; the first lasted about 6 months before the front buckle fell off and another 6 months before the zipper broke. I'm hoping this one will be more durable, because overall I love the bag. It looks great, the material is sturdy and it has enough pockets but not so many as to clutter things. I also enjoy the fact that there is no handle on top along with the shoulder strap, unlike some of the other bags sold by LL Bean. Overall, if the quality of this one is a bit higher I will be a continued buyer of this style in the future.
This bag is perfect. It's light weight, and has enough room for a book, my lunch, my papers and a small umbrella. Plenty of different compartments to keep things organized, even a nice little space for my phone. It even offers the luxury of separating papers and documents. It is just what I needed for my job which involves a lot of running around. And it looks cool too.
