The bag is excellent. The workmanship is tremendous. My ONLY "complaint" is that my laptop is a tight squeeze to fit in the main compartment, and I am afraid that, over time, I will pull the stitching around the opening. I know with LL Bean's excellent product quality, that won't be something I'll have to worry about any time soon. I do wish the "mouth" of the bag was just a wee bit longer though.
This bag is absolutely perfect! I use it for grad school. It is big enough to hold my laptop, books, calculator, etc. I have also used it as a carry on when flying. I have gotten many compliments on the look of the bag. I'm really laid back, and it fits my style exactly!
I'm a male and I love this bag! It's strong and sturdy, seems very well made. I've had mine a few months, and wear it everyday. I carry everything in it, including my laptop and iPad, cell phone... DO NOT CALL IT A MURSE! It's masculine and trendy, and I bought my best friend one last week.
I took this bag on a 2 week trip to the UK and it worked perfectly. It seems I am always in search of the perfect carry-on and touring bag, this is it! It held my cameras, guide books, rain gear...everything. It's "worn" look made me feel like I've had it for years.
