Have owned this bag for a few weeks now and love it. Very durable construction as expected. More pockets than expected. Love the side pockets for keys, cell phone, etc. , outside back pocket for folders, inside zipper pocket for work essentials (scissors, dictaphone, lunch), and large inside pocket for textbooks/charts. Comfortable to carry and professional looking too! Plus, price is far better than the others I looked at ($100+)!

This is a fantastic bag...I bought it in British Khaki to tote books and my 14" laptop back and forth to school. The only thing I would change is that the main compartment is completely open. I would have hoped for a divider so it is more like two sections...but that is just my personal preference. Also I have read many complaints about the locking mechanism. All you have to do is when you slide it through is push down on the bottom of the triangle (point side) to lock it and it stays locked! That is the way they are meant to work. If LLBean would include these simple instructions with each bag with these locks, they would save themselves complaints and returns, because they really are high quality! :)
This is a great bag. I don't understand why anyone thinks it's overpriced. Great value. Looks great, and is very durable. Carries so much stuff. I actually put my purse INSIDE the bag itself and then pack my ipad and magazines and other things around it and i use it as my personal bag carryon. You can't beat it.
