It is a nice bag that is possibly only missing short handles so you can carry like a briefcase. Hanging file folders fir snugly into it and it looks good. Not a huge fan of the buckle thing that keeps the top flap closed, so I just throw the top flap over and go. The corner pockets are good for holding my iPhone while I walk. Thanks LL Bean!
If you can get past the sticker shock (c'mon, it's made in China!), and the fact that it is uncomfortable to carry when it's full because there's no padding on the shoulder strap, then it's a great bag. Otherwise, opt for the smaller purse version.
The bag is typical for LL Bean's line of canvas luggage. It matches, and it doesn't look out of place. It looks restrained and it looks like something an adult would use.
In terms of space, I fit a 15" Mac Book Pro in it with room to spare. The end compartments can easily fit the power supply and mouse. There is no padding, so unlike a real computer bag, the bottom is not packed in foam.
Once you put in a computer and the associated "stuff", there isn't a lot of room for other stuff, so you can't necessarily fit everything into this bag.
Overall I like it and I feel comfortable taking it along. The picture makes it seem much bigger than it is; I found it perfect for taking a computer along for a weekend trip.
